Our Tuckpointing Process
We begin the tuckpointing process by scraping out the old mortar to a depth of 1/2″ or 3/8” and removing dust and debris from the joint. We carefully select a mortar that’s a perfect match to areas that are not being repaired or we can find a mortar that will create a whole new look. After packing mortar into the joints, the joints are tooled and the surface sprayed with water to ensure proper curing.
